In all demo video’s of the new Tab Bar in iOS 26, the content nicely flow’s below the Tab Bar giving a floating effect.

Before migrating my main app to iOS 26, I tried implementing the new look in a dummy app and noticed an interesting issue which can be seen in the below image

How to make content flow beneath UITabBar in iOS 26 [closed]

There is white background behind the Tab Bar and the content doesn’t flow under it.

This is only solved when the remove the bottom constraint of the Table View from Safe Area Bottom and add it to Super View Bottom.

Does this mean I have to manually remove constraint for all view controllers from safe area and attach it to super view ? Or is there any better way to do it ? Also how will I manage backward compatibility for iOS 18 & below (min iOS is 13 )

I saw the below question but still it doesn’t answer my question:
iOS TabBar gets new style but content does not extend beneath it on iOS 26 / Liquid Glass

Note: My app is in UIKit, with Tab Bar Controller created programatically and only the controllers are created in XIB or Storyboards
