Cloud and data centre provider Viettel IDC has secured the highest partnership level within Broadcom’s VMware partner program.

As a ‘Pinnacle’ tier partner for the Southeast Asia market, Viettel IDC is positioned to deliver new managed private cloud services built on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), Broadcom’s flagship hybrid cloud platform.

This enhanced offering is aimed at helping enterprise customers in the region modernise their infrastructure and accelerate innovation, with a particular focus on sovereign cloud services that address data residency requirements and other jurisdictional controls.

Mr Le Ba Tan, CEO of Viettel IDC, said: “Becoming a member of the highest-tier in the Broadcom Advantage partner program is a testament to Viettel IDC’s capabilities and underscores our commitment to supporting enterprises in Vietnam and the broader Southeast Asia region.

“Leveraging VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0, we aim to deliver advanced services and technologies to drive development opportunities. Beyond the domestic market, Viettel IDC seeks to expand its presence in Southeast Asia, promoting Vietnamese technology regionally and empowering enterprises to accelerate their digital transformation.”

The achievement follows Broadcom’s acquisition of VMware and the subsequent overhaul of its partner ecosystem. Attaining ‘Pinnacle’ status under the new Broadcom Advantage Partner Program signals a deep strategic alignment and technical proficiency.

VCF is the platform for running a modern private cloud. It is designed to provide customers with a consistent cloud operating model across their own data centres, at the edge, and within managed cloud infrastructures from service providers like Viettel IDC.

The VCF platform combines the agility associated with the public cloud with the security, performance, and cost benefits of an on-premises environment. VCF provides a unified platform capable of supporting all application types, from traditional workloads to modern containerised applications and artificial intelligence.

The ‘Pinnacle’ tier is the apex of the Broadcom Advantage Partner program, reserved for its most invested and strategic partners. These organisations are recognised for their extensive certifications, a proven track record of sales and service achievements, and broad international coverage. Holding Pinnacle status signifies a partner’s deep technological expertise and its ability to solve the most complex customer challenges.

Vijoo Chacko, Head of VCSP Business for Asia Pacific and Japan at Broadcom, commented: “As a Pinnacle partner, Viettel IDC’s expertise, experience and influence in the industry will play a crucial role in helping to lead our customers to adopting a modern private cloud.

“With VCF, customers benefit from a modern private cloud that accelerates innovation, controls cloud costs, and enables sovereignty and security with data control that supports better compliance and cyber resilience at scale. Our trusted VCSP Pinnacle partners help our mutual customers unlock all of the value from the VCF platform.”

Founded in 2008 as a member of the Viettel Group, Viettel IDC has established itself as a leading provider of digital infrastructure in Vietnam. The company operates nine data centres built to international standards, including TIA-942 and PCI DSS 4.0.1, ensuring high availability and security for thousands of enterprise clients across the region.

Viettel IDC’s ecosystem includes nearly 60 distinct services spanning Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, and Software-as-a-Service, all designed to help businesses optimise costs and strengthen their competitiveness.

This latest partnership reinforces Viettel IDC’s “Go Global” strategy, aiming to bridge global technologies with local enterprise needs and contribute to the continued growth of Vietnam’s digital economy on the world stage.
