It’s conference season and our traveling team of experts is preparing for lots of upcoming industry conferences, including the IQPC Subsea Networks event happening as part of Subsea Nexus Week in February.

We’re here to help you prep for the gathering in Singapore.

Here’s what to know, where to register, and which topics to read up on in advance.

What is IQPC Subsea Networks? When is it?

Subsea Nexus Week is an exploration of subsea industries, global communication backbones, energy distribution, internet access, and more.

The Subsea Networks component of this programming is happening February 11-12 at the Amara Sanctuary Sentosa in Singapore. This dedicated gathering showcases breakthroughs in fiber optic technology and subsea cable deployment.

What will everyone be talking about at this event?

The growth of Asia’s digital economy has underscored the critical role of subsea optic fiber cables in sustaining high-speed internet connectivity across the region.

Expect lots of conversation on three key topics:

    • Existing Infrastructure in Asia: This event offers a strategic overview of Asia’s undersea cable landscape. Planned discussions will focus on legal governance, deployment initiatives, infrastructure, and investment dynamics—with an emphasis on Singapore’s central role.
    • Cable Pipeline: The region’s deployment pipeline is robust. New mega-cable systems—such as Apricot, Bifrost, and Echo—are in progress, strengthening connectivity between Asia, the U.S., and Oceania. Governments are also pursuing national strategies to connect rural areas and improve regional data flows. This reflects a broader shift from legacy infrastructure to future-ready, high-capacity networks with greater redundancy and resilience.
    • Regulation: Asia’s regulatory environment remains diverse, with coastal nations adopting different policies for cable deployment, permitting, and security. Increasingly, countries are imposing stricter controls over foreign ownership and cable routes in response to geopolitical and cybersecurity concerns.

Who is attending Subsea Networks 2026?

Expect to meet management and C-Suite level professionals from across the infrastructure, operations, and international connectivity space.

    Speakers include experts from:

    • Vodafone
    • Telin
    • Meta
    • Suncable
    • Dhiraagu
    • China Mobile International
    • SUT Singapore

TeleGeography experts, including Senior Research Analyst Marvin Tan, will be on hand to discuss some of our latest findings. And our sales team will be available to showcase TeleGeography’s research.
