    A workshop on Disposable Identities

Moderated by Elena Japundžić and Rob van Kranenburg

Disposable Identities Workshop. – THE INTERNET OF THINGS
Reverse engineering the current situation. The spider – us – creates separate disposable relations with each actor in the web.

The situation today is that all outer ends of the web and all the circles can look at the ‘I’’, the spider. If the spider is us, it is clear that there is no way out, nor does it help to fight off one circle or one outer end. No, we have to reverse the situation.

We are in a historic turning point. AI is accelerating the intelligence of all the outer nodes in a way we have never seen before.

We might hack one single end point, but we cannot hack the interrelatedness.

We can defend against one single endpoint, but we cannot defend against the interrelatedness.

We know where we want to go.

The spider, we, should control each and every relation to any endpoint.

The first step is to create Self Sovereign Identity. We must debate how this can be done.

That becomes a core identity, independent from any of the current means of identification.

This Self Sovereign Identity is able to create hundreds to thousands of disposable identities, reversing the current situation. The ‘I’ in the heart of the web is no longer the object of outer nodes, no it sends a different identity to each node and each provider. Mostly it will send payability tokens to each provider (energy, connectivity, subscriptions) as they have no need for any personal information they just want to get paid. If you do not pay, a personal item can be disclosed, only fair. For institutional queries it can send accountability tokens, showing that responsibility is taken for an act. For example, Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs), a cryptographic method where one party proves a statement is true (like having enough funds) without revealing the actual sensitive data (like the amount or who sent it) and ZKCC by dyne.org,

We can accommodate for pseudonymity and anonymity. A disposable identity can be seen as following fully the intention of GDPR. We control a disposable identity and specify it lasts for how many days, can only be used for a particular situation, will delete itself after a particular act…..We enable a clear economic situation as services can function perfectly, and we specifically agree to revealing our core identity only when we want, or when a legitimate request is made that is specified in the language of a shared jurisdiction
