Databricks Achieves Awardability on the DoD’s Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace

Databricks is proud to announce that the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform has been designated “Awardable” within the Department of Defense Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s (DoD CDAO) Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace (TSM).

    What “Awardable” Status Means

Achieving “Awardable” status means the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform has been assessed through competitive procedures that conform to the competition requirements of 10 USC 4021, 10 USC 4022, 10 USC 3458, FAR/DFARS Part 35, and DFARS Subpart 212.70, and agencies can directly engage, negotiate, and procure the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. This designation unlocks a streamlined path to innovation.

“This recognition underscores the trust placed in the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform to help the DoD unify data and AI strategies and accelerate adoption of cutting-edge technologies across defense operations.”— Mike Daniels, VP and GM, Public Sector Databricks

    About the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace

The Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace is the CDAO’s acquisition ecosystem, purpose-built to disrupt traditional procurement processes. It enables the DoD to more quickly evaluate and adopt emerging technology solutions. By reducing friction in procurement, TSM helps ensure that the U.S. military can keep pace with evolving digital and AI capabilities.

    How Databricks Supports the DoD

The Databricks Data Intelligence Platform brings together data and AI on a unified foundation, tackling the common challenges of fragmented data systems and rising costs. For defense agencies, this means:

    • Mission-ready AI: Support for advanced AI-driven initiatives to strengthen citizen services and national defense.
    • Data security and quality: Enhanced governance and reliability across sensitive information.
    • Cost efficiency: Reduced duplication and simplified data strategies through a single, integrated platform.

Databricks is already supporting federal agencies with secure, scalable solutions across multiple mission domains including cybersecurity, transportation and warehousing and health services. Agencies use the platform to unify structured and unstructured data, accelerate real-time analytics and deploy AI models that enable faster, data-driven decisions. By leveraging FedRAMP-authorized cloud environments and robust governance capabilities, such as Unity Catalog, Databricks helps agencies meet stringent compliance requirements while fostering data-driven innovation with confidence.

From predictive maintenance of critical assets and enhanced situational awareness to secure information sharing across domains, the Databricks Platform empowers the DoD to modernize operations and strengthen national security outcomes. Earning awardability validates the secure, compliant work Databricks has long delivered to federal agencies, while opening the door for the DoD to accelerate adoption even further.

    What’s Next

Federal government customers can explore Databricks’ solution video, The Data Intelligence Platform, on the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace. Registered DoD users can also access the CDAO Submission and related informational content here.

Databricks is honored to support the DoD’s mission and looks forward to empowering defense organizations with the next generation of data and AI capabilities.
