Dubai already has the world-famous Palm that is synonymous with the city. Now, imagine a beautiful flower city that will soon add more beauty to this already classy city. Yes, this will soon be a reality.
Dubai’s Desert Rose eco-city!
Dubai Municipality’s recent Instagram post talks about the approval for the construction of a new eco-city called the Desert Rose city, which will adorn the city soon.
Desert Rose city will be constructed in the form of a flower and is basically an eco-friendly city that will have its fair share of malls, villas, schools, and hospitals. The cost of the project will be around AED 30 billion and will be situated on the Dubai-Al Ain road. The project will span an area of 14,000 hectares and will be primarily eco-friendly with around 75% of the city’s housing using solar panel rooftops.
The advantages of an eco-city are many with the major one being breathing fresh air and being connected to nature without losing a metropolitan city flavour.
“In line with the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God Bless him and in line with the country’s policy to follow the sustainable urban approach in a way that ensures progress in environmental protection.
